The Boston Celtics will wrap up the 2005-2006 season on Wednesday night at the TD BankNorth Garden in Boston. The Miami Heat, the second seeded Eastern Conference team heading into the NBA’s postseason, will tip off against the Celtics at 7:30PM ET in Boston. Delonte West, the Celtics second year point guard, is not likely to play in the game due to a lower calf injury suffered last weekend in New York.
Assuming that West is inactive for the Celtics, fans should expect to see Tony Allen making the start in his place. Allen is coming off of a great game from Monday night against the Cavaliers. In that contest Allen made the start at the point and posted Ta career-high 23 points, but was 3-of-11 from the free-throw. The Celtics lost that game by a final score of 93 to 88, extending their losing streak to five games.
