Celtics Final Game is Wednesday Night

The Boston Celtics will wrap up the 2005-2006 season on Wednesday night at the TD BankNorth Garden in Boston. The Miami Heat, the second seeded Eastern Conference team heading into the NBA’s postseason, will tip off against the Celtics at 7:30PM ET in Boston. Delonte West, the Celtics second year point guard, is not likely to play in the game due to a lower calf injury suffered last weekend in New York.

Delonte West Inactive Vs. Pacers, May End Season

Delonte West stayed in Boston while the rest of the team traveled to Indiana to play the Pacers. While the Celtics lost the game 117 to 112, it could be Delonte who will be lost for the rest of the season. West suffered a strained calf muscle in Sunday’s loss to the New York Knicks. While he’s been on ice and rest since the incident, there’s still a strong chance that West may miss the final 4 games of the season.
