Chris Sheridan of ESPN says that Celtics’ General Manager Danny Ainge is willing to trade every member of the Celtics except for Pierce, Szczerbiak and Delonte West. In his training camp article published yesterday on ESPN.com, Sheridan quotes Ainge as having said “We have three proven quality NBA players in Paul Pierce, Wally and Delonte West.”

Delonte West played 23 minutes off the bench tonight for the Celtics in their 113-89 victory at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville CT. Delonte showed Celtics fans everywhere not only that he was back — but he was ready to build off last year’s success. West scored 9 points, dished out 6 assists, pulled down 3 rebounds and blocked a shot in tonight’s game. A video clip of Delonte’s performance from FSN New England is available to the right. The Celtics are at Mohegan Sun tonight in Uncasville CT for another preseason “home” game. The C’s will take on the New York Knicks, a team they lost to Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden by the final score of 108-116.
According to Peter May and the Boston Globe, Delonte West will play in tonight’s game…
…Delonte West, who has appeared in only one exhibition game because of back and toe woes, practiced yesterday, and Rivers said the plan was for West to play tonight against the Knicks in an exhibition game at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. “We’ve got to get Delonte on the floor,” Rivers said. “We need to start giving the bulk of the minutes to the guys who are going to play.” Read the rest of this entry »
