Delonte West Autograph Appearance in Pennsylvania
Delonte will be making an appearance at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Plymouth Meeting, PA on August 26 to help raise money for the Delonte West Foundation.
The former St. Joe’s basketball standout and current Boston Celtics’ guard will sign autographs to raise money and awareness for the Delonte West Foundation from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. A donation of $5 is suggested for each autograph. Proceeds from the appearance will benefit the Delonte West Foundation.
The Delonte West Foundation strives to make an impact in the lives of children through education, health and the arts. In August, Delonte will host free basketball clinics for inner city kids in both Boston and Philadelphia. These free clinics will provide more than 400 kids with the opportunity to work on their basketball, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills, while building self-esteem both on and off the court.
Delonte’s primary objective is to partner with Life Pieces to Masterpieces, a Washington D.C. based organization, and expand their incredible programming and curriculum. Life Pieces To Masterpieces’ mission/purpose is to provide African American males, living in low-income and public housing, with opportunities to discover their ability to change challenges into possibilities by using art as an outlet.
In addition, Delonte is working with the Boys & Girls Clubs to create an incentive program that rewards children for making positive decisions. Members will have the opportunity to receive incentive items based on their personal successes in school, at home, and at the community center.
