Celtics Go Without West, Defeat Nets in Beantown
The Boston Celtics defeated the New Jersey Nets tonight by the final score of 94 - 90 on the floor of the TD BankNorth Garden. The victory came after the Celtics rallied to outscore the Nets 33 to 13 in the final quarter of play.
Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 18 points in 29 minutes of play after having sat out last night’s game in New York.
The Celtics took the floor tonight without the help of Delonte West, Wally Szczerbiak, Theo Ratliff and Brian Scalabrine. Delonte missed his second straight preseason game due to an infected toe.
