West Expected to Play Tonight Vs. Knicks
The Celtics are at Mohegan Sun tonight in Uncasville CT for another preseason “home” game. The C’s will take on the New York Knicks, a team they lost to Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden by the final score of 108-116.

…Delonte West, who has appeared in only one exhibition game because of back and toe woes, practiced yesterday, and Rivers said the plan was for West to play tonight against the Knicks in an exhibition game at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. “We’ve got to get Delonte on the floor,” Rivers said. “We need to start giving the bulk of the minutes to the guys who are going to play.” (Click here for full article…)

Yesterday the Celtics organization waived forwards Akin Akingbala and Kevin Pittsnogle, two undrafted free agents. The move brings the Celtics’ roster down to 16 players with three more preseason games to go. That leaves just one final roster move before the Celtics submit their roster to the NBA on October 30th.
