Tonight at 7:30PM ET on the floor of the TD BankNorth Garden, the Celtics will try to win back to back games against the 4-1 Utah Jazz. The Jazz represent a new power team in the Western Conference — and a team that also sits in the top 5 of everyone’s power rankings for the league right now.

Tonight’s game is the first of two meetings between these teams for the 2006-2007 season. Coverage on TV is with FSN New England and radio coverage can be heard on WRKO 680.
As I mentioned yesterday, I fully believe that Delonte needs to start this game for the Celtics. With that said, I don’t really expect that to happen — but we can still remain hopeful.

Shira Springer from the Globe says that Paul Pierce thinks Kendrick Perkins “has to smarten up” and hopes that his little adjustments help keep him out of foul trouble tonight. With the absence of Al Jefferson, that becomes a critical key to the game for the Celtics.
