Hi,
I was wondering if there was any way my students could get a letter or message from Delonte. I’ve followed his career since we graduated from High School here in Greenbelt, and now that I’m a teacher, I’ve shared my enthusiasm in the player Delonte’s has become and use him as an example very often to encourage my students. I teach art at an elementary school only 5 miles (if that) from where Delonte graduated from High School, and have really used his life story as a great motivator for my students that they really can become whatever they want to be. I also share with them his gift in art, and find many more ways to use his example for building up the confidence in our young boys and girls.
I know they would just be thrilled if they had a message just for them from such a positive role model.

I know it’s a long shot, but it’s worth every try!

Hi, My kids got me the best thing for Mother’s Day, a “WEST” t-shirt !!!!
I work for a cancer center and we are having a baseball fund raiser on 8-30-2009-just wondering if Delonte would be willing to sign something so that we could raffle it off to raise money, or better yet come to the game !!! I wonder how one becomes lucky enough to meet our Delonte? I’ve always been a Cavs fan, but loved watching Delonte on the Celtics. Now that I have this amazing man on my team… well there really isn’t words for it. It is truly a dream of mine just to pick his brain, and see what kind of person he is beyond an amazing basketball player and a beautiful person! If you or anyone knows of any way to purchase a ticket to meet him I would greatly appreciate any ideas. I would absolutely do anything!

I met Delonte after they ended the 16 game loosing streak in Boston right before the All Star break. I brought a picture of Delonte morphed with the Leprechaun from the horror movies and he signed it for me. I’m a senior at the New England Institute of Art for graphic design and for my portfolio I’ve taken that signed picture and placed it into a poster design which stemmed off from Delonte’s reaction to the picture. I was hoping there would be a way for me to get Delonte a copy of the finished poster. He would think it’s coldblooded.

I’ve been happy about his successes after leaving the Celtic’s. I was pissed when he left, but happy that he went to Cleveland, cause all my family lives out there. Delonte should be an All Star this coming season. I’m still putting up 50-75 a game with him on 2k9. LeBron scores maybe 4.

I wanted to pass on a bit of hope for Delonte, when I found that he was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and read about the recent episode and criminal charges he is now facing due to an episode I wanted to share my story I was diagnoed with Bipolar when I was sixteen and struggled with the disorder until I found the right medication I had many psychotic episodes due to wrong medication and substance use I have been episode free for two years and life couldn’t be any better I’d love to discuss further and offer any help if possible please let me know if I can be.

Delonte –
I was a UPenn fan when you were playing with St. Joes – I’m sad to say that we used to chant “overrated” at you and Jameer Nelson – thus; I’ve followed your full career. I grew up in Cleveland and I was unbelievably excited when I found out that you were to join the Cavs – because I knew the player you were from St. Joes. I’m just writing to say 99.99% of Cleveland is behind you, and we’re all hoping you can figure things out so that you can be a huge contributor this season. We really need you. We really, really need, you, but we all also hope that you can do better for yourself too.
